Well, the Talking Head certainly did the trick as did the e-mail confirming my Cafe Writers entry! Today I have spent the afternoon working on the previously mentioned 1970's novel idea. It isn't a very pleasant story which is what I seem to write best and even though I don't know how it is going to end I am fairly sure the journey is going to be a real rollercoaster ride.
The most important thing for me is that I have enjoyed writing today. There has been no pressure, no drudgery, no stress...the break was what I needed to gain a bit of perspective and get my confidence back. Long may it continue! I'll keep you posted.
