Fate lends a hand...

What a week! Not only did I take part in my first ever blog tour (thank you for the views and kind words), I also received confirmation from the RNA that The Cherry Tree Cafe manuscript had arrived safe and sound (phew) AND I received an email from our solicitors informing us that completion on the house we are buying is all systems go and we should be able to move in during bank holiday weekend (WHAT!?). Shocked? Just a bit!

The vendor had informed us weeks ago that he had made a mistake taking the house off the market so we jumped back in and heard nothing more until the fateful email pinged into my inbox whilst I was in my car writing during my lunch hour!

On an entirely selfish note the timing simply couldn't be better. The Skylark Serenade planning is coming on a treat and in my experience there is always the danger of jumping in too early, making a cracking start and then stalling a few chapters in. At least with a house move and all the associated disruption on the horizon there won't be any chance of that! Planning still continues apace but there won't be time to commit a single word to the memory stick for at least a couple of weeks by which time plot holes will have been plugged and I will have lived with my lovely new characters a good while longer and know them that much better.

I'll do my best to update the blog next week but we are at the mercy of the wi-fi provider so stick with me, I will be back and in the meantime keep writing!
