Books and the City Creative Writing Masterclass

Super Saturday is how I'll always remember November 15th 2014 and all thanks to the Books and the City team, feisty fiction goddess Milly Johnson, uber agent Lizzy Kremer and all the other lovely folk who attended the creative writing masterclass in London.
Let them eat cake!

An abundance of writing wisdom and tips from Milly, insights into the hectic world of a top agent from Lizzy and hints on how to get your book noticed courtesy of experts from Waterstones, Kobo and Heat magazine along with books, bags, cake, fizz and lashings of encouragement and support, all made for a thoroughly fabulous afternoon.

Trying not to fangirl!

A personal highlight was meeting Dame (as she is addressed in our house), Milly Johnson and yes, I did remember to curtsy. Milly was absolutely lovely and I can't express strongly enough what a pleasure it was to chat with someone eye to eye. I was thrilled to discover that we share a similar taste in men, along with a fondness for stationery and cake.

So, huge thanks to Sara-Jade Virtue, Clare Hey and the entire team for putting together such a spectacular event. I think my smile says it all!

A very happy me with Clare Hey
