Summer at Skylark Farm paperback publication day and GIVEAWAY

Truth be told I didn't quite know what to expect from the Summer at Skylark Farm paperback publication day last Thursday. The e-book was released on June 2nd and consequently I thought the paperback arriving exclusively on the shelves in Sainsburys stores would make a slight ripple at best, but I couldn't have been more wrong!

By lunchtime my social media accounts were reaching meltdown, the house was awash with Champagne, flowers, Galaxy and gifts and then the #shelfies started to pour in along with messages that local stores in Norwich had already sold out!

I don't think I can explain just how exciting it was to see real books with my name on being added to trolleys and sitting alongside Trisha Ashley and JK Rowling, but a thirty year dream was finally being realised and I enjoyed every second.

#shelfies from as far as Truro in Cornwall and Nairn in Inverness were still appearing on Facebook and Twitter twenty four later and now is the perfect opportunity to say thank you to everyone who grabbed a copy, along with a photo and made the excitement even more memorable!

Meeting up with school chum, Claire Leckie and giving her a signed copy was another highlight as Claire can remember me talking about my dreams of being an author when we were at school together a very, very long time ago!

The Summer at Skylark Farm paperback publication day was an absolute whirlwind and I want to thank you all for playing a part in marking the occasion and making the day so special!

Summer At Skylark Farm Paperback GIVEAWAY!

If you would like to be in with a chance of winning one of the two signed copies I have to giveaway (thank you Books and The City), just share in the comment box below the name and title of either your favourite Summer read of 2016 so far OR your favourite Summer Song.

  17. Oh, this is difficult! I've read all sorts this summer: timeslip, procedural thrillers, grip-lit, romance! But I think I choose The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George. It has that warm, everday-magic-of-humanity feel that you get from many Joanne Harris books.
P.S. It would be great if you could add the name and URL option to the profile selection for comments. :) OpenId doesn't exist anymore so may be worth taking that option off.
