Path to Publication Festive Round Up - Ros Rendle

This week sees the start of the Path to Publication Festive Round Up and I am thrilled to welcome Ros back to the blog. Thank you so much for giving us an insight into what has obviously been quite a year Ros!

My Festive Round-up

This year has been extraordinary! Having discovered and been accepted onto the RNA NWS I have met many authors of varied experience and success and learned a huge amount about the craft from many of them. Now I also count several members as friends. Either via Twitter, Facebook or in person we have shared information and positivity. The fraternity is so supportive.

I received a very helpful critique from my RNA reader and having carefully considered and reflected upon the advice, I substantially edited my book. It is currently winging its way around agents, publishers and has entered a few competitions. Unfortunately some decline to respond at all and from others I await a verdict.

In the meantime I continue with novel number 3. It is set between 1912 and 1917 and demands substantial research. More recently I have written comparatively little as we are involved in packing up the house prior to moving from France back to England, (I hope. Shhh, fingers crossed). Everything is very hectic.

I intend to renew my NWS membership for 2015 because the networking, never mind the book review, has been so positive, useful and reassuring. After Christmas I intend to really get cracking again on my novel – ‘The Strong Sisters of WW1’ and to decide what to do with ‘Sense and French Ability’ if it is unsuccessful with the traditional route.

Thank you to Heidi-Jo for inviting me to write this and seasonal best wishes to all good friends and the wider authors’ fellowship.

Peace of  Time (on Amazon)
