Festive Fun and Frolics!

Everyone has their own way of doing things, especially when it comes to Christmas preparations and I'm no exception. For the last couple of decades I've started our festivities during the first weekend in December by sitting down and writing out the Christmas cards however, we don't send cards anymore so time for a new tradition, a traditionally warm and scented one!

Nothing conjures Christmas as wholeheartedly to me as the smell of cinnamon, cloves and all manner of festive fare so now the season begins with a batch of freshly baked mince pies stacked haphazardly in readiness to keep rumbling tums at bay whilst the decs are going up!

Time to sample 1 or 3
I don't pretend to make them from scratch of course, mincemeat comes from a jar and pastry from the freezer but it's the thought that counts.

However you begin your festivities have a very merry Christmas!
