2014 has been quite a year. In some ways, it's been a quiet
year. It's been all about the small things. Watching my girls grow from babies
into toddlers, both developing their own personalities and quirks. Developing
ways of keeping an eye on both of them, learning when it's okay, they're busy
exploring the world. I've delighted in these moments more than anything. Time
with my two gorgeous daughters is precious. And still, I've squeezed in some
writing. When they are tackling finger food in the high chair, a journey when I
get to be passenger, an evening when I still have energy in reserve. The MS has
gone from 3,000 words to about 50,000 and although it's been slow progress, I
wouldn't want it any other way. Fortunately my NWS report was very positive, making
it worth the additional grey hairs.
2015 is set to be more writing focused. I'm starting a new
writing evening group, Southampton Scribes, designed to help find time to
write. I also plan to get to 'The End.' I might even be brave enough to submit
to agents and publishers. Well, after twins, editors and agents don't seem so
scary.
You sound very busy.
