Writing Resolutions 2015

Seems to me that every writer on the planet has a blog post listing their hopes and setting out their expectations and goals for the next twelve months this week so I thought it was about time I entered the fray and shared mine.

To be honest I think we do this not only to share our dreams with the wider world but also to keep us on our toes and heading in the right direction. After all, there's nothing more soul destroying than skimming back through the years posts and realising you haven't made it or worse than that you haven't tried quite hard enough!

2014 ended on a total high for me. Literally signing on the dotted line with Simon and Schuster in time for Christmas I was thoroughly thrilled by the prospect of seeing The Cherry Tree Cafe published this summer and of course I still am however, there is much to do!

Getting ahead of myself perhaps but I'm already planning a launch party, both online and off. Flicking through the diary pages I know the weeks are going to whizz by and I want to enjoy seeing my debut novel published as much as possible. I'm planning some Cherry Tree Cafe related giveaways and competitions and of course a launch isn't complete without balloons, fizz and a rather spectacular cake!

Beyond the launch I'm keeping things as simple as possible. I'm hoping to be accepted for full membership to the RNA and along with attending at least one day of the conference, I would also like to attend more of the Norfolk Chapter lunches and perhaps the Winter Party.

Blogging, Tweeting and enjoying the interaction and camaraderie on Facebook will also be an important part of my writing year and of course, last but by no means least, there's the next novel to finish!

So here's to a fabulous 2015 everyone! I wish you all health, happiness and success in abundance!

I loved reading the beginning of The Cherry Tree Cafe on Wattpad and I can't wait until I can read the whole book.

Best of luck for 2015's writing. Enjoy the social side, both virtual and real life! xx
