Publication Celebration & trending on Twitter!

I don't really know where to begin when it comes to filling you in on the madness that was the Summer at Skylark Farm publication day last Thursday because it was all quite simply bonkers. My phone began pinging away just before 6am and it didn't stop all day. All evening come to that!

The Twitter madness peaked around late morning when I had an email from Emma at Books and The City telling me that Skylark Farm was trending! To be honest I'm surprised I didn't break Twitter given the number of Tweets I was sending out packed with chick and piglet emojis. Nothing could have prepared me for the number of posts, messages, statuses and Tweets and if you had told me that they were going to be flooding in all day I never would have believed you, but they did.

Highlights were many and varied but this fabulous picture from my friend Claire was a stand out moment. Isn't it every authors dream to know that someone is going to spend the morning curled up with their book?

And of course these beautiful flowers from the fabulous Books and The City Team were the cherry on my cupcake.

Saturday was also filled with excitement as there was the publication celebration at the Virgin Lounge in Norwich to enjoy. Needless to say there was cake and bunting in abundance along with fabulous bags to give away courtesy of Books and The City.

Earlier in the week I had been concerned that I hadn't invited enough people but I needn't have worried as I don't think we could have squeezed another friend or fellow author into the event room and judging by the noise level a great time was had by all. Huge thanks to everyone who came along and especially to Mary and Vicki who travelled so far.

Now don't think that just because publication day and the Virgin Lounge party is over that the fun and games have stopped because there's the fabulous blog tour happening this week which is jam packed full of picnic tips, seasonal recipes and my thoughts and reminiscences on the joys of a country childhood along with some fabulous Summer Reads. I hope you all enjoy the tour and if you do decide to pay a visit to Skylark Farm I can guarantee you will assured a warm welcome!

May I take this opportunity wish you all a wonderful week and say a HUGE thank you to everyone who took part in making the Summer at Skylark Farm publication celebrations so memorable.
