The Secret Seaside Escape publication celebrations!

As you probably all know , I am hugely excited that The Secret Seaside Escape is now being published a couple of weeks ahead of schedule - this Thursday (the 16th of April).

When the change of plan was suggested by my fabulous publishing team, I was more than happy to agree, but given that almost the entire world is currently in #lockdown, I have to admit, I was disappointed that I wouldn't be able to celebrate the release with the usual events, outings and signings.

However, thanks to the wonders of the internet and modern technology, my team and I have still managed to conjure a week of celebrations worthy of this first trip to Wynmouth.

My incredible publicist, Harriett Collins has rallied the wonderful Book Bloggers and my #swainette crew and created a packed blog tour which starts on publication day and runs until the end of the month.

There's some great content lined up for the tour including guest posts, chapter extracts and reviews.

On Tuesday, the 14th, it's my turn to take part in the weekly #AtHomeWithBATC Q and A event over on Twitter.

It starts at 5.30pm and it's your opportunity to ask me anything you like about The Secret Seaside Escape, Wynmouth and Wynbridge, my writing process or path to publication. Anything really. I promise I'll do my best to answer. You do have to provide your own drinks and snacks, but by way of compensation, you can download your trip to Wynmouth for FREE on @netgalley.

On Wednesday evening the panel interview I took part in with Sue Moorcroft, Hayley Doyle and Rachel Marks, for My VLF airs in the Theatre at 7pm. It's followed by a live Q and A session so do sign up and join us if you can. I'd love to chat with you there. With publication day the day after, it's bound to be exciting!

On Thursday, I'm popping up on lovely Juliet Greenwood's blog. I'm chatting about my writing routine during #lockdown and what I'm attempting to do in order to stay fit and healthy, so do watch out for that! It might surprise you. I'm certain it will raise a smile!

So, there you have it - a pretty packed publication week, I think you'll agree. I'm hoping to see at least one #shelfie pop up on my social media feed and who knows, when I head out for essential supplies, I might even see a copy on the shelf myself.

In the meantime, here's a the very first glimpse of the paperback, courtesy of Linda Hill and including a fabulous front cover quote from Sarah Morgan. Thank you so much Sarah! I'm delighted you enjoyed it.

I think it looks absolutely stunning. I've never had a yellow jacket before, and the blue title stands out a treat, don't you think? I can't tell you how keen I am to get my hands on a copy and I hope you feel the same way too.

Later in the summer, I'll be running a paperback giveaway and I have some lovely bookmarks that I'm going to be sending out too so look out for that.

Stay safe my darlings, keep reading and thank you for all your friendship and support!

H x
