Terror on the moor!

Just a quick post to let you know that I have a new Shortbread offering called Terror on the moor. It is a very short piece (less than 200 words) and was written primarily for creative writing class homework. Each line had to begin with a different letter of the alphabet (A through to Z) and yes, I have rather taken liberty with 'X' but it was not an easy letter to accomodate.

The piece has been entered into the latest Shortbread competition and once voting has closed (and assuming I haven't won!) I will include it as a post for your perusal unless of course you would rather click on the link and read it now? Any thoughts gratefully received.

Creative writing class yesterday was wonderful and exercises included writing a piece about a lemon and a bus shelter at midnight. After a bit of a polish they may also find their way here so look out for them and enjoy!

  1. So impressed with the rhyming. I can't rhyme to save my life! Loved the fast. punchy pace that the short sentences give it and you accomodated the X rather well. Sounds like a tricky task but well worth doing as your piece reads wonderfully.

A lemon and a bus shelter? In the same story or separate? I'm intrigued!

    1. Thank you for reading - I'm really pleased you enjoyed it! Speed was the key with this one as I wrote it in about forty minutes and tried not to think too hard about it once the words started to flow.

The lemon and bus shelter were separate exercises...i'll try and get them on here next week.

Thanks again for taking the time to read and comment.
