What happened to November?

Well folks, apologies all round. My promise to update weekly has slipped somewhat this month but in my defence I have been busy!

My health is still not all it should be but I am nearer to a diagnosis for my vision and balance problems than I have been during the last couple of years. The Dr seems to think it could be 'silent migraines' and I am hoping for confirmation from the hospital next week. Writing a novel is no easy task when 2-3 times a week you are rendered incapable of seeing the laptop screen!

However, that aside, I am delighted to tell you that the novel is finished and has had its first complete edit. I did not win the TLC free read competition but my achievement of conceiving, planning and writing a novel in less than a year makes me feel anything but a loser.

I plan to put it away for a few weeks and then re-read it with fresh eyes and renewed optimism with a view to seeing it published. During the weeks it is 'resting' I shall indulge in a couple of short stories and quite possibly even begin planning the next novel. A wonderful and exciting way to start the new year.

I shall of course keep you posted.

  1. Well done! Glad to hear its going so well and that the novel is done. Definitely a good end to this year and a great start to 2012! Sorry you're not so well though, hope the hospital manages to confirm what it is so at least you know what's going on xx

  2. Thanks for commenting - its a real boost to know someone is reading my rambling! The hospital have gone with the 'silent migraine' diagnosis so now its just a matter of finding the right medicatiion to control/supress the symptoms.
